I run the businesses as honestly as I possibly can and will always be honest with customers, suppliers and workers, even if it puts me at a disadvantage.
I place great importance on integrity, honesty and reliability and safety.
When a job is discussed I will provide a quotation, not an estimate. This means that the price is fixed(except for extras added by customer or grossly unexpected conditions). This is much fairer than charging an hourly rate as you know exactly what you will get for exactly how much of your money. If the job overruns my estimate I lose out, not you.
I am always very clear about what I am supplying. Corners are not cut that will reduce the quality or standard of the job. A fair price is charged for a premium service.
Suppliers are always paid on time, or at the time of ordering/delivery.
Workers are paid well above the minimum wage. Tax is paid, as is NI and insurance. I believe that good staff are vital to the sucess of my business and so treat them with respect and integrity.
We carry £2.5 million public liability and £5 million employers liability insurance.
Health and safety is given high priority, as it should be everywhere! Employees are provided with more than is mandatory.
Risk assessments are completed for all tasks that we do, method statements are also available upon request.
We started a long term undertaking in Sept 2010 to sponsor 3 children in Nigeria. What we pay each month will feed them and support them through school and college. For more on this check out Soteria Trust.
